Testimony from a performance at a confirmation party at Il Fornetto restaurant in Brooklyn, NY

dsc_0359Dear Mary,

Thank you for making Maria’s confirmation a truly memorable occasion!!! All our guests were so impressed with Mario’s accordion playing and your flawless voice!  Your selection of songs was perfect…many of which took the family members back to the” good old times.” A month later and everyone is still talking about what a great time they had at the party.

Thank you again for making the event so wonderful!  We appreciate your kindness and professionalism.  You are absolutely our favorite live band and we can’t wait to call you again for our next event. We have and will continue to recommend you to everyone we know!

All our best always…

Sincerely,

Tonina and Domenico Aragona

Testimony from a Valentine’s Day in-home performance in Sarasota, FL

Mary and Mario with hosts Steve & Meredith Mastropietro, Sarasota, FL.

Mary and Mario with hosts Steve & Meredith Mastropietro, Sarasota, FL.

Dear Meredith and Steve,

When I decided to move to warmer climes five years ago, I chose Sarasota as my new home town largely as a result of the vast array of cultural venues it had to offer: the Van Wezel, the Symphony Orchestra, the Opera House, etc. Yet another musical mecca was born on Valentine’s Day, when the Mastropietro home became the stage for Mary Mancini and Mario Tacca.

Mary’s voice was enchanting, and held the audience riveted as she performed a wide range of songs that included something for everyone. Whether singing the aria Nessun Dorma from Puccini’s Turandot, or a show tune emanating from My Fair Lady or Evita, or a medley of the music of Edith Piaf, she delivered all the numbers beautifully. I, along with everyone else, was transported. The same holds true for the music of accordionist Mario Tacca. In a room filled with others who have mastery of the same instrument, it was no surprise when he received a standing ovation. Mr. Tacca is an accomplished soloist as well as a superb accompanist to his talented wife.

Your idea of including professional musicians at your Valentine’s Day gala was brilliant! Dancing to live music, and enjoying an intimate concert, made your party one that will remain in my memory for years to come. Thank you for an unforgettable evening.
